Trevor & Mick, if you have one of those clever mobile phones which allow you to read this while on your way to Texas - STOP NOW - and start hitch hiking homeward. I've today learned that Robin and Sue have learned of your approach and have countered it by leaving the US of A. They are due to arrive in Walton some time next week.

Thanks Mick i could not have explained more the recent breakdown in our relationship and the need for us to get away from it all for some serious re-bonding.

Anyway with that in mind, Mick i have had second thoughts about the isle of Sheppy and have decided in true Brokeback Mountain style, that we should maybe go to Texas and stay with our good network friends Rob and Sue Benham, where hopefully we can repair our somewhat shattered internet relationship.

So all that really remains to be said, is that we will be back in two months time have fun. Rob and Sue get the spare room ready we will see you soon bye all

Yes of course you can use the picture :-) I have no idea where the barge is from, but it is quite often moored there.................

Love this picture. My great grandfather and all his sons and nephews were masters and mates on Sailing Barges, but on the Medway in Kent, so no direct connection to Walton. Can you identify the barge? I suspect it is the Wyvenhoe.

Please may I use this picture as "wallpaper" on my computer?

Yes, that's a lovely photo. Although the little building at the end was not supposed to be demolished, all in all, I'm very impressed with the restoration.

I've mentioned this before, but it's strange to think the entire building - less the separately owned part on the right - was offered by the Barnes estate for 45,000 quid.
